Clubs
Here at Ysgol Penybryn we want your child to be as active as possible in their education. It is our aim for them to gain fundamental skills, which they can take forward not only in their education but also into later life.
Clubs form an essential part of your son or daughters school experience, which is why we offer the following clubs to ensure they make the most of their time:
Urdd Membership
The Urdd Club for Juniors will meet 3.20pm-4.15pm.
Being a member of the Urdd will give your child opportunities to attend the Urdd Club, compete in sports competitions, eisteddfod, art and craft, attend Glanllyn weekend and much more.
Younger pupils are welcome to join in order to compete in the eisteddfod.
Contact the office for details on how to join.

Dragon Sports Club Y3, 4, 5 & 6
The school has organised an after school Sports Club for year 3, 4, 5 and 6 pupils. The pupils will be coached by teachers, classroom assistants and volunteers or Sports Leaders who have received the appropriate training. The purpose of the club is to give children the opportunity to participate, rather than only compete, in all aspects of sports, including gymnastics, rugby and games on the field.
The club will be held on a Wednesday evening from 3.20 – 4.15 pm at Ysgol Penybryn. Parents will be responsible for collecting their children from the club. All pupils must behave responsibly or they will be excluded from the activity.
If you wish your child to participate, please call into the office to complete a form.
The Green Club
The Gardening/ Green Club is held for KS2 pupils.
We hope to meet every two weeks between 3.20 and 4.15pm in order to prepare the garden for spring and hopefully take part in a few ‘green’ activities e.g. building bird boxes and making food for the birds in our garden.
If your child/children are interested in joining the after school Green Club would you please contact the school office.

Breakfast
As the saying goes: “It is the most important meal of the day”. With a selection of fruit, cereal, toast and fresh juices, your son or daughter will start the day ready for a full day of fun and learning.
